Celebrating Disability Pride Month 2024

The NEEDS Center honored Disability Pride Month by sharing the voices and stories of the incredible people we supportEach week, our followers were introduced to a person we support. They shared why this month was so special and what it means to them. Scott DPM 2024

When asked about Disability Pride Month, Scott shared "It makes me happy! I know I have a disability; everyone has challenges. I have overcome being epileptic. I am proud to be here and want to do more work to make money!"

Samantha DPM 2024

Samantha kindly expressed her thoughts and experiences in relation to Disability Pride Month: "I have overcome my own challenges. I am happy and enjoy being able to make friends at the program!"

Chacha DPM 2024

Chacha from our Rowley Day Program shared “It's important (Disability Pride Month) because people with disabilities used to not be treated fairly. We should have the same opportunities as others! We are happier now! I get to do more stuff, people say I can’t but I can! Disability Pride Month makes a total difference for us.”
